England Trophy news
WOTTON-under-Edge first team play Reading in the England Hockey Trophy on Sunday, probably the biggest match the team will face this season.
For the visitors to Wotton Community PARC are one of the finest sides in the country and multiple winners of top competitions at home and abroad.
The England Hockey Championships National Knock-Out competition last 16 tie between Wotton-under-Edge and Reading in Tier One has a 2pm pushback.
But, in addition, Wotton seconds will be playing Royal Wootton Bassett in Tier Three with a 12noon.
The task facing Wotton first team is evident as Reading are six-time national champions.
And Reading continue to feature numerous internationals in their line-up so it is set to be a real test of the Wotton men’s mettle this weekend.
