THE Gazette received an overwhelming response from its readers following an inquiry into the identification of a large insect found in Cam.
It is - *drum roll* - a privet hawk moth.
Tragically, one of the emails said that the moth looked as though it was nearing the end of its life.
Many thanks to all of our readers who got in touch to let us know.
