Tips for Improved Productivity!

Often it can be hard to get yourself motivated for a chore, assignment, or project, but here are three easy tips to help you out and immediately enhance your productivity!

1. Ease yourself in.

When beginning a task that you may be avoiding or procrastinating, it can be easier to start off with something you’re more confident on. For example, but doing your favourite chore first, or revising your favourite subject to begin with. This can engage you by starting with something less daunting, and get you into the zone for more work and improved productivity.

2. Take breaks.

Make sure not to overwork yourself! Doing too much work in one go can be overwhelming and tiring, so it’s often more effective to give yourself breaks; set a timer, do some concentrated work on your task, then give yourself time to recharge. This can maintain your energy and stamina, without being draining.

3. Set goals.

Give yourself points to reach, so instead of telling yourself “I’ll just work”, change your mindset to “I will do these specific tasks”. It can be easier to have a goal in mind so you can block out individual jobs that work towards the final point, without stressing you out. You could even reward yourself after the goals, by giving yourself a snack break after you reach one of your targets! This means that the work doesn’t feel daunting, so gets you motivated and therefore productive.
